About Larkhound

We build gear for dogs who already have a seat in the car.

Larkhound started with a simple frustration: most "travel gear for dogs" is either flimsy pet-store plastic or overpriced tactical nonsense built for a photo, not a trail. We wanted something in between — gear built by people who actually load the dog up before a hike, not people who’ve only ever staged the shot.

We’re not a pet-supply store that happens to sell travel items. We’re a travel-and-adventure brand that happens to make gear for dogs.

What we believe

• Function first. Every product in the Trailhead and Basecamp collections earns its spot by solving a real problem — a wet seat, a dog nose-deep out the window, a coat shedding across the whole back seat — not by looking good in a thumbnail.
• Honest quality, honest price. We’d rather tell you a product’s real tradeoffs than oversell it. If something isn’t worth the price, we won’t carry it.
• Built to be used, not just owned. Waterproof means waterproof. Cordless means it holds a charge. Reusable means it doesn’t fall apart after one wash.

Where we're headed

Larkhound is just getting started. Every order helps us learn what actually works in the real world — the trail, the back seat, the muddy porch after a hike — so we can keep the products that earn their place and drop the ones that don’t. As we grow, we’re moving toward gear we design and build ourselves, purpose-made for dogs who travel, instead of pulled from someone else’s catalog.

Trailhead & Basecamp

Two collections, one philosophy. Trailhead covers everything for the car and the road — seat covers, water bottles, window barriers. Basecamp covers what happens after — grooming, cleanup, coat care. Together, they’re built to handle a dog’s whole adventure, from the driveway to the trailhead and back.
